From Susan — Seeing White Elefantes

My third wee FO is my third wee Elefante…it turned out as cute as Number One.  I am so relieved!  If there was one cute Elefante and two daughters, it would not turn out well!

Of course it has to be in her school colors.    And the obligatory “butt shot:”

Cascade 220

And this picture is for Sally — we have the most gorgeous snow falling right now.  The grainy white specks are actually flakes (not the best photo!).  Maybe it will snow while you are here.

We’ve had fabulous snow for cross country skiing which is thrilling my DH to no end!  Yay!

PS — if you have not visited for a while, please scroll down to see Sally’s Bohus and to read about the event this week at the American Swedish Institute.

  1. I was just whining to my husband about our not having any snow in DC this year thus far.

  2. Ah, I just got back from a short ski. It was lovely, indeed.

And yes, E3 is as cute as E2.

  4. Your elefantes are ridiculously cute. I can’t ever show them to my three daughters or they’ll demand their own immediately!

  6. Can I leave one giant comment? Susan, the elephants are absolutely adorable! While you are knitting lots of them for friends and family, please knit one for me, ok? Sally, the bohus is stunning! Lettie looks fantastic in her new “necklace.” I will be curious to see what you decide to use for your neckline. Great idea of changing to smaller needles. I probably wouldn’t have thought of that until I had the balloon problem. And who knit the Baby Cables? Sally? Anyway….it’s lovely. The two sweater’s worth of knitting really paid off with a fantastic fitting sweater.

  10. There is only one word for these sweet little elephants…..ADORABLE. The little beaded eyes are so cute, really nice
touch. If you want to add my name to your gift list, I would love one. 😉

  11. How beautiful. My sister in law look at it as well and she thinks it is lovely. We might make a pair for Ava.

  13. Sigh. Another project to go on my queue. How’s a person ever supposed to get caught up on their knitting?

  16. Too cute. Are you doing something to the ears to make the edges curl forward like that?

And it looks like you better have enough of the Pink left over to make one for your niece. Hehe

  19. Very cute Elephantes! Adorable. Makes me feel like running out and making up a couple for my grandgirls, one is two and a half years, the other, one and a half weeks old. 😀

  20. Hi, I really enjoy browsing your site, I love the pink elephante, Could I get the pattern instructions for it?

Also I am working on the “Sweetheart Glovelets” but I find the pattern instructions, not too clear, I am working them on a circular needle (magic loop) and I seem to have a hard time. Could you offer some light?

    Thank you,

    Rose
