From Susan — Sleeves are Fun

Sleeves are fun.  Going to the dentist is fun.  Tax time is fun.  You think I’m kidding, right?  Au contraire!!  My Ode to Joy sleeve is going fine: enough going on with the color changes and decreases to not be boring.  Last trip to the dentist, my youngest daughter got her braces off and looks grown up and gorgeous, and my taxes are organized and ready for the tax guy!

I stopped by The Yarnery yesterday and picked up the latest Rowan Magazine (#45).  Quite beautiful!  It has a combination of Asian-inspired designs and hippy flashbacks.  The hippy stuff is not my taste.  Sally liked the cap-shawl inspired wrap with sleeves in Kidsilk Haze called Honeysuckle.

  1. So nice to hear for a change, the taxes, mine are ready to sign including the check which is painful but necessary this year, the dentist, I’ve been the daughter and wife to one of these my whole life and I get really tired of listening to everyone’s “bad” story, the knitting, I love hearing how we as a group can impact the life of someone in need, especially while going through poor health.
    Really enjoy reading this blog!

  2. This week it is taxes, taxes, taxes. Except for a break to the Bohus exhibit one more time with an out of town Ravelry friend. Wanna come along?

    The square is very handsome!

  3. Hi. I’m thrilled you found my blog–I’ve been following yours for some time. It seems I’m knitting more so that I’llhave something to blog about.

  4. I’ve been doing taxes by day and sleeves by night! (Day meaning 14 hours or so and sleeves being possibly a whole two rows on Mary Tudor). Thankfully, no dentist.

Here’s to bright brace free smiles! And sleeves that are an Ode to Joy. 🙂

  5. I love the Anice!! I do not need another pattern book, especially as I have yet to complete any sweater other than a baby sweater, but boy that is gorgeous!
