From Susan — Mini Update

Thanks to everyone for your support!! It does make my banishment to ‘non-knitters island’ a little bit easier!

I went to a massage therapist recommended by friend Mary and will go again several times this week. I did do a small amount of knitting and stopped any time there was a flare up of pain. I am going to back off that a bit for the rest of the week.

That is a tall order because Sally and I found a super cute, quick knit project and I am dying to work on it! She will share hers soon because she is almost finished, as would I be…never mind.

  1. I’m sure you will make the best of this down time. It will be a great to look through old knitting magazines and all of those great books you have, I’m sure. This activity seems to be easier on wrists and hands than looking at things on the computer. You’ll be back in the saddle in no time!

  2. Susan, Are your hand falling asleep too? If they are, it could be a problem in your shoulders and neck.

  4. Susan, I know of a great chiropractor in Eagan that helped me tremendously. I had tennis elbow from doing too much needlepoint. The name of her practice is Hilltop Chiropractic and she is right off of 35. Her name is Dr. Marla. three visits and I was ok to go. Any questions, please contact me. Good luck — it’s terrible to not be able to knit or stitch!

  7. Fill a small dixie cup half way with water, pop it in the freezer. When you finish knitting, massage the painful area with the bottom of the cup for no more than 3 minutes. Learned this from my PT and it so much!
