Do any of you know the origin of this pattern?  A friend of mine and I are very taken with it, but we don’t know where it is from.  Your help is very appreciated!!

Later that day: June, you’re the best!  I knew my knitting blog peeps would come though.  The pattern is called the Chinese Lace Pullover and is available from Knititude for $5.50.  It comes in a myriad of sizes.  I bought it already!! 😉

  6. I’ve seen this before, and it is just not coming to me. Give me a second…

I know I saw it on a European English-language blog. It looks like something Fluffa would do. Or or or Tracey of the now dead Wooley Warbler.

  7. I love how the wide ribs just flow up to the neckline. Could it be a Dale pattern? Only guessing, but now you’ve got all of us wanting to know.

  9. Congratulations! I have the impression of seeing this pattern before … and I remember “chinese lace” in the name … tried googling it but with no good results. It’s great that somebody had bought the pattern. I am considering buying it too.

  10. How nice to have a source! Beautiful design. If you like that one, you might also like Peri’s Parasol by Ann McCauley, in The Pleasures of Knitting (book from Martingale). I’ve knitted that one and will knit it again. And will probably knit this, too, because I like that one so well, and they look like cousins. Ann’s has a deeper lace section on the bottom in a different Walker pattern . . . one that resists being reconfigured from flat to in-the-round, although it’s possible (I’m a really determined in-the-round knitter and I knitted it flat and will do it again, even after figuring out how to convert) . . . set-in rather than raglan sleeves, and a nicely finished boat neckline. 1/3 rib. Now I need to go download its cousin from Knititude. . . .

  12. I wonder how many patterns have been downloaded over the last couple of days? I got mine, and have started a gauge swatch. Such a pretty design.

Thanks for finding the pattern, June.
