“Cut!!”  Yep, ready to cut that steek!  I used my new sewing machine to stitch the steek and it worked like a dream!

My Scatness Tunic is progressing nicely.  I have been off for a few days and have been doing some knitting.  Most people enjoy the great outdoors while on vacay.  😉

I hope the little sucker fits.  We shall see.

This picture shows the colors of the yarn and the crunchy yarny goodness of Shetland wool!  There is a lot of finishing to this project but my goal of being done in time for Rhinebeck seems within reach.

Enjoy the last throes of summer.  🙁

PS – The neck and front bands are done.  Just need to do the I-cord bind off and general finishing work!!

  2. OMG! I cannot believe the progress you have made since Thursday! You will finish in time – no problem. Well, it might interfere with a bit of sleep, work, cooking, laundry etc. but those are just little gnats in the process! I love, love, love this sweater! You go, Girl!

  3. This is beautiful! And I always enjoy the great Indoors! I’m a girly-girl with knitting needles and don’t even look out the window when I’m engrossed in a project!

  6. This is beautiful! And, vacay and knitting. I knit a lot while up at the cabin. You going to Rhinebeck? We really do need to get together for show and tell! I could jump across the river…

  8. I love this sweater, although now that I see it in this state, I would be tempted not to cut it and wear it as a tunic, it is so pretty just as it it.

  9. Hello,
My name is Teresa and I have recently printed a Christmas Stocking pattern off line. It does not have the Santa face in the instructions or on the charts. The pattern was adapted from Bernat’s Classic Santa Stocking pattern by Susan Rainey. My pattern also states that it is a small version of the Bernat Santa Stocking. (For a pet) Would you email me the larger version complete with the santa face instructions? The cuff is red, followed by white with the name in red. The green section comes to a point with a bell attached at the top of the point and Santa’s face is in this green section. Below is a white section with red criss-crossed candy canes. Then a large stripe of red, followed by a green toe. I would greatly appreciate your help!
    Thank You,
    Teresa
