Sweetheart Glovelet — First Row

We wanted to make sure that everyone understand how to knit the first row of the Sweetheart Glovelet. It’s not difficult to do, but it was difficult to explain. Sally made a not-great-quality video to try to demonstrate. (It’s hard to video yourself!)

The first row is as follows: k2, cast off 3 sts (to do this, knit 2 more sts, slip first over second, k1, bind off 1, k1 bind off 1, 3 sts bound off and 3 sts on RH needle); now k2 sts, and then knit 2 more sts to start next bind off sequence. Does this clarify?? The end result is that you essentially k3, bind off 3 all the way around leaving you with half as many sts as you started with. We started with k2 because the last bind off sequence gives you the 3rd st of the 3 stitch part.
