This design forms a continuous edging on all sides as you go: when you\u2019re done, it\u2019s done.<\/p>\n

Surrounded can easily be resized for any width or length. I have included instructions for two sizes and additional information on how to adapt the design to different sizes and gauges. The Lap Robe and Baby Blanket are identical \u2013 only the color and recipient give it away!<\/p>\n

The patterncan be knit in both bulky and worsted weight yarn.<\/p>\n

Gauge (Bulky – Afghan) = 16 sts & 24 rows per 4 inches
\nGauge (Worsted – Lap Robe) = 20 sts & 28 rows per 4 inches<\/p>\n

Finished Size (Bulky – Afghan) = 40×52 inches
\nFinished Size (Worsted – Lap Robe) = 30×42 inches<\/p>\n

Needles (Bulky – Afghan):
\nUS 10.5 circular, 32 inch
\nUS 10.5 dpns — only 2 needed
\nUS 10 dpn — only one needed<\/p>\n

Needles (Worsted – Lap Robe):
\nUS 8 circular, 32 inch
\nUS 8 dpns — only 2 needed
\nUS 7 dpn — only one needed<\/p>\n

Both written and charted directions are provided, plus photos to assist the knitter.<\/p>\n
