From the Both of Us — Seeing Red

Filed under: Updates — Both Sisters @ 1:24 am

We love red.  It cannot be denied.  So in honor of Valentine’s Day, we thought we would celebrate the color red.

Both of us love red, but Sally really loves red.  Almost every phone call about buying yarn includes the statement, “I love the red, but I have so much of it already.”  Yep.  You do.  But that’s okay.  Red is gorgeous.  Here is a very small sampling from Surly’s stash of red yarns:

And our walk down memory lane…

Because it is Surly’s birthday tomorrow, we will also share a picture of Susan’s gift to her — very keeping with our theme!!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Everyone!!

  9. Oh, what is the name of the pattern for Susan’s red vest with the cables along the front? Please and thank you. I spent an hour looking for it, but no luck.

  10. I do love red as well. I’ve realized I’m even more likely to buy a pattern if the project is shown in red. As Kaffe Fassett put it, why limit yourself to just one shade of red when you can use seventeen!

Susan’s red vest is found on Ravelry in her projects under her user name lv2knit. The vest is Inggun by Elsebeth Lavold. It is gorgeous, isn’t it!
