Well. That was fun! But, I am a worrier and this does not change that. Many Republicans voted blue for the first time, but more than likely it will be their last time. People were saying a big EFF YOU to Trump, his policies, cruelty, corruption, lies, etc. Trump got fired on Tuesday, but unfortunately he has two years to clear out his desk. It was also a rebuke of Project 2025 and the DOGE carnage that stripped us of the government services we continue to pay for with our taxes. There is a lot to do and there is disagreement about whether Dems should seek accountability or fix the entire world. It’s a big job and we cannot afford to screw it up.
But for now, let’s celebrate the win! It was really cool that Heather Cox Richardson specifically mentioned Ravelry as one way people organized the resistance. Our Melt the Ice hats got noticed!! And I am a proud Minnesotan who truly feels we started the wheel in motion by fighting against ICE and their inhumane, illegal tactics.
As for knitting, I am not. I am suffering from a bit of repetitive motion pain and have had to step back for a few days. It is really showing me how much I rely on knitting to keep me grounded and fill in the quiet space in my days.
This is one of my favorite images from yesterday. Countries around the world are celebrating that we are back. They were worried!

PS: I ran into a long-time reader the other evening and had such a nice conversation. Thank you for your support!
