I have been too busy to get my Sunrise blocked, but I thought I would share some pictures of it anyway. It is such a cool pattern, and I enjoyed making it very much. I love things that are a little different — classic yet unique — and this certainly qualifies.
Here is the “oval”:

I also spent some time on Ballerina. I recommend that if you make this jacket, you keep some notes or something. My two sides are not what I would call perfectly symmetrical. It’s not something you can see really, but I did need to fudge to get the numbers to work out, and I have no idea why. The stitch count is the same, so either Hanne designed it with the sides a bit off, or I am a bit off. Don’t answer that!
I am still toiling on my scarf and the wedding ring purses will be done this evening — pictures of them tomorrow…
Thanks for posting pictures of your Sunrise. I’m working on one and lurking on others’ blogs for tips. Yours turned out beautifully (just like your other work — I’m quite envious!). –Liz

Your knitting is awesome. I am a beginning knitter (for about a year and my most ambitious projects were 2 raglan baby sweaters). What level of experience is required for the sunrise circle jacket?
I also love your feather and fan scarf. Coincidentally, I bought some Artyarns sock weight merino and started to knit a feather and fan scarf with it using a 5.5 mm bamboo needle. The yarn itself suggests a 4.5 mm needle, but my knitting is on the tighter rather than looser side. What size needle did you use?
Thanks for answering my questions. I love your blog.
And Happy Birthday.
Toby.

I just picked up the Fall 2008 issue of interweave magazine in which the sunshine circle jacket is featured. I am trying to locate the pattern. I just recently started knitting garments ( this a big step from scarves and socks) and would love to knit this amazing jacket. Yours turned out beautifully and am inspired! Thank you for your advise.
