From Sally — Widows and Orphans

Filed under: Uncategorized — surly @ 8:01 pm

I’m terrible about starting projects and then, um, leaving them to marinate for a little while.

This is especially true of socks. I love knitting socks. Love them. Well, at least the first one. Tomorrow I will post a gallery of all of my one-off socks in search of relatives. I’m trying to shame myself into completing the pairs.

I guess if I am being honest I should post photos of my orphan gloves as well.

  1. I did not read your post before writing mine — we are pathetic losers, n’est-ce pas?

  2. I’d love to see your little orphan socks and gloves. Perhaps someone might wear them mis-matched if they’re of similar size. I’m giggling thinking about your donating them to a DC shelter — and some poor homeless guy ends up with two differing wild striped socks. Be kinda stylish, wouldn’t it?

(Lovin’ your blog — let me know if I need to shush-up.)

  3. LOL!
Perhaps you should just start offering a service that replaces the missing sock from all those sets that somehow get separated in daily household events.
