From Susan — Could I Be Cuter??

No.  Not possible.  Judge for yourself  — from the cover of Dale Baby Book NR 229:

And matching booties:

Another garter stitch set below — I would wear the jacket!

There are many more darling outfits in this book, with many for boys, too, but I tend to gravitate to the girlie stuff!  I have no one in mind for the projects in this book, so I may have to go on the hunt for babies…no, darling daughters — no grandbabies yet!

Old FO:
This has been done for a while, but I have not gotten around to posting about it.  I thought of it today because I bought yarn for yet another ruffle scarf — what is my problem?  I will have a flirty ascot for every outfit I own ;).

This is the Cha Cha scarf in the rusty colorway.  Love it of course, but do I need a third?  Doubtful.  Very doubtful…

  1. My shop is working with “Operation Showers of Love”, an organization that throws baby showers for military families (because they travel so much or the expecting mom is deployed). They are looking for hand-knit items to put in the baskets. If you don’t find any babies…there’s an idea 🙂

  2. Clearly, ruffled scarves aren’t what’s needed, it’s the MAKING of them that is needed.

Hey – how about some ruffled baby bloomers? Satisfy both cravings at once!

  4. Oh forget the Chacha scarf. It’s that Kauni sweater that makes my heart skip a beat every time I see it! Oh, and EZ would just LOVE the Dale outfits. Me too. Perfect take-along knitting.

  6. 4/2/11 6:30pm EST……what is the stitch at the bottom of the sweater body on the gorgeous baby’s sweater and why does it lie so flat…..at present I am knitting an Alice Fairisle pattern and having a devil of a time keeping the bottom of the edge around the circle needle straight……do you have a method of negating the curling on stockinette stitch when there is no ribbing to hold it straight?????…..is the only answer a double crochet????…thanks from Janet

  7. Oh, I somehow missed the first post about the Cha-Cha scarf, so when I clicked on it, I was immediately transported by back to junior high! Paul Revere and the Raiders! More importantly– Mark Lindsey (Lindsey? Is that right??) Whatever — I had such a crush!

  8. Where can I buy the book? I have a very good friend who is expecting and I can just see her little one in that outfit on the cover.
