It has been difficult for people interested in the Kauni Cardigan to obtain the yarn. A Canadian shop called Fun Knits is now stocking the yarn in its new put up. Check it out! You don’t have to use the Rainbow Kauni — there are other colors to choose from.Â
PS: Â Margaret shared this information about another source for the Kauni Yarn:
“If anyone in the US is interested in a little more instant gratification wrt the Kauni, the same put-ups arrived today at Knitty City in NYC upper west side Manhattan www.knittycity.com – contact Pearl Chin the owner pearlATknittycityDOTcom if you need it with a touch less shipping costs, or if you actually live within driving distance of the shop.”
Thanks, M!!!
I purchased yarn from Shelley long ago and service/shipping was great/fast.
It must be me (since I’ve never seen it in real life) but the spans of colour look short in the balls.

Thanks for the Kauni Public Service Announcement! I’ve had my eye on this project ever since the beautiful cardigans began appearing all over KnitBlogLand, but was intimidated by the cost of ordering yarn from overseas. But not now… the Kauni, she will be mine! 🙂

From Susan to Susan — My Kauni is a “he”: impossible to live with/without, can’t figure him out half the time, but very lovable overall 😉

I already have my yarn and have managed to rip several times. I was trying to make your very special edging instead of the ribbing. I am having problems. In the center the two center squares end up being the same color but also do not line up row wise. It throws off all the stripes and things by one row. I have already ripped out 6 inches of work and am starting over with 5 rows done and off again. May have to go back to ribbing. I don’t want to. Please let me know what you think. Thanks Mary
