From Susan — Sucked into the Vortex

Man! I didn’t even see it coming!  Flashing lights or a siren would be helpful ;)!  I was sucked into the vortex so quickly that resistance was futile — and I had no way to call out for help!  That’s my excuse anyway.  So this is a quick view to show how the obsessed knitters of the world spend their afternoons!

And this also explains why I have not opened the Cat Bordhi sock book ;). I don’t know why this struck such a chord with me but I do think the pictures of Jared sipping coffee with the Hemlock draped so beautifully on his lap may have had something to do with it.  It also made me want a cuppa.  On to the F&F portion.

  1. Very funny… that was going to be my title this morning, only in reference to the Kauni Cardigan. I’m nearly to the steeking and I’m obsessed.

I saw BT’s throw and I too thought it’d be a good fall project. I have some handspun chocolate wool that’s just calling out to be that huge doily ***grin***. The oatmeal you’ve chosen is lovely.

  5. This is incredible! Just beautiful! Lace in a weight of yarn that won’t require reading glasses over my bifocaled contact lens, must be a dream.

I hear the vortex calling me…..

  7. that’s very beautiful. But I have to say that Cat Bordhi’s book is fascinating, and I could not resist it.

  8. I’m with you in the whirlpool. I didn’t think to use 2 circs so mine looks like a giant yarn muffin right now. http://www.donnac368.blogspot.com

  9. Hi!
I am just about to start on the fan and feather section chart, and had a question. I knitted the first 9 stitches, placed my marker and am about to start the chart, but do I knit 9 stitches between each repeat? or just continue the repaet over and over, add no extra stitches than seen on the chart? In the directions for line 47 it says the 1st 9 stitches will be worked at the beg of the round when the marker is moved and again at the end of the rnd. Does this mean every first 9 stitches knit and the last 9 stitches for a total of 18 stitches together knit? Or that you continue to just knit the first 9 stitches? Thank you so much!
