It is Surly’s birthday! Yay! In honor of my favorite sister’s birthday, here’s a short stroll down memory lane.

Yes, we were Air Force Brats. The little one is Sally, of course. And notice the cute matching outfits. I’m sure our grandma had something to do with that!! 🙂

We were told to look “fierce.” We told the guy that there is no way we would be anything but scared out of our wits!! That trip to L.A. was one of our first “road trips” and really, really fun.

Susan…….what great pictures for posterity. I do believe you favor your mother! Happy Birthday to Sally……..and thanks for sharing. Loved your Monkey’s, too. Especially the sock monkey fabric. It was reminiscent of the Grace fabric (little blond girls) that I had a dress made out of for granddaughter Grace years ago. Hope to get back to knitting soon…..but last night was Valentine’s Dinner out and last week I was awaiting the arrival of our daughter Karla and her way through Mpls (from NY to San Francisco.) Now I’m headed back north on Tuesday again. Love to you both. Cathy

Happy birthday, Sally! I think I had a shirt like your ” early college” one in high school. Mine was yellow quiana – I was quite proud of it, though now I can’t imagine why I ever would choose yellow.
