From Susan — Mini Lyra Update

Filed under: Lyra by Niebling — lv2knit @ 1:01 pm

Woo hoo!  I’m in the 60’s for rounds (out of 180) and totally loving Lyra.  The following graphic shows approximately where I am so far (dotted circle).  Talk about slow!  I really don’t know how Soo finished this in two weeks.  I would have to quit my job, leave my husband and abandon my kids to finish this in two months!   Hmmmmmm…….nah! ;)

  1. Susan – if YOU are saying that something is knitting up slowly, then I’m frightened at how long it’d take me…
you seem to be one of the fastest FO producers I have found online!! 🙂

  2. I’m with Kyle – I’d have to give up eating and bathroom breaks plus my kids, I think!

And I was wondering if you could email me privately, Susan – I am going to be meeting a friend
in Minneapolis, at the airport, in a few weeks, and we were thinking of some yarn crawling –
you seem to be more than a little well versed in the shops in the area, so I was wondering
if you could make any suggestions for us? Thanks so much!

  3. Oh my word! That piece is so intricate and fine. I know you’ll take the time to do it justice – even though you are a finishing machine 🙂

  5. To be honest – I’m not sure how I finished it in 2 weeks either! It’s all a bit of blur and looking back it seems some sort of body snatching/extreme knitting effect took hold when I began Lyra.
It is fair to say that laundry did pile up – but I still have my job so I must have managed to put in some sort of appearance!
