I keep plodding along with my Ballerina, all the while eyeing more enticing projects that seem just out of reach. I fear that if I put Ballerina down at this point, I won’t get back to it for months — which seems kind of silly when I am so close to finishing.
I’ve had obstacles. First, my little assistant came for a visit and he’s not always as helpful as I’d like.
Then I traveled to a Christmas concert and didn’t get much knitting done.
Now I’ve got company coming and I needed to shovel out the guest room. Even so, I’ve just got the last part of the right front, the neck band, and the finishing (which won’t be too bad) left. Here are some photos. Lucy’s hoping it looks a bit more elegant when it’s finished.
From Susan — You’re getting it done — despite all of your “help!”

I love your sweater, but am quite smitten with your assistant – I think the delays – I mean, extra help – are worth it!

The assistant is clever! Why lay on leather when smooshy wool is much more comfortable? Are we going to see Lismore & Rosarie sometime soon? I would h8 to start, but still finish Rosarie before you 😉

I agree with Marina, your assistant has the right idea. I think he’s been talking to my cats. Does he speak cat that you know?

I find the process of constructing Ballerina facinating. Please finish so we can admire the result.
I have asstants of about the same size, but with unfortunately sharp claws and a penchant for making nests out of things they lie on.

Sally- You need to shovel out the guest room? I’m thinking of renting a Bobcat to shovel out my house.
So happy to see the Assistant back- such a helpful little fella!
Kiss him for me.

I’m falling in love with your little assistant. I’m with Lorraine and the Bobcat idea. I hope she let’s me know how much it’s gonna cost.
I have a question about those Hanne Falkenberg designs. Are the patterns straight forward or so I need to know how to read ahead and see where I might need to fiddle/fudge around? Those kits are a pretty penny to leave sitting around cos I’m confused.
BTW… The link you gave for the kits are the most reasonably priced that I have seen. Thanks so much!!!!!
