I so appreciate all of the birthday wishes. This has been a quiet birthday; my husband is in Minnesota visiting his mother so we celebrated early. I’ve spent the day knitting and reading. I even managed to squeeze in a visit to a yarn shop just because.
I also spent a little time watching this video of a knitting machine made entirely of Legos. It’s fascinating. I can’t quite figure out what it’s doing, but I was heartened to see that this machine knits even more slowly than I do!
Oh! It’s knitting just like the i-cord “machines” that are around. You’d recognize it if it had thicker yarn, I’m sure!

My grandson is into legos. I am going to have to send him a link to see this. Thank you.

Wow – I can tell I can’t let a few days go by without checking this blog! I love the new projects that y’all have cast on.
If you don’t mind my asking, what’s the yardage needed for that lovely cabled pullover with pocket? I may have to figure out how to make that without the pattern (being an original pattern and all). It’s too cool!
And the combination of Kidsilk Haze and Koigu sounds irresistible! Just when I was starting to slow down on yarn purchases as well. Ah, what can a girl do?
Oh, and can Susan pleeeeez show off a photo of her finished Emmeline somewhere? I’d love to see the final cardi in its entirety. That color combination is lovely. Is it over at Ravelry perchance? Off to go look…
