Remember this?
It is Buh Bye. Did not like it. Did not want it. Took it back. When I went to Unwind Yarn Shop the first time, I saw a yarn I loved. I did not buy it because I needed two skeins of the above and did not want to spend the money. So I went back and exchanged my extra skein of pink&brown for a bright little summer skein that I love:
It is a specially dyed color for the shop from Dream in Color. I love it and should have bought it the first time around. They were so kind when I came in to exchange my yarn. Great shop!
What will I do with it? Probably look at it from time to time until I die.
There are some skeins that are too beautiful just as they are, and give us such pleasure to contemplate. I had a length of fabric like that. I’d select a pattern, get it all pinned out, pick up the scissors, and … stop. Too beautiful to risk ruining. I repeated that little scenario every few months for about 10 years. I did, finally, make a Givenchy day dress and it’s a knockout. It’s still in my closet, despite the many pounds that keep me from wearing it. The beauty still brings me pleasure in the contemplation. Who says beauty is fleeting?

Hey, what a great decision! If you don’t like it now, you won’t suddenly start liking it! Best to move on. The new skein is lovely and will look great on you no matter what you make with it! Just wish I could have gone with you to make the change! I want to go to Unwind! Maybe, some day!

“…look at it from time to time until I die.” Love it!! I read somewhere and think it is true: “The hobby isn’t knitting, the hobby is buying yarn.” Thanks for the smile.

You can look at it while you knit it up into something fabulous, and then again when you repeatedly admire the FO made with it. Although there are some skeins that it just feels almost too decadent to use and in so doing use up their potential. Not that I own a skein or 20 like that. No, not me. Enjoy it in every form you choose to.

I love the little Looker Skeins! They’re the best! I’m glad you were able to add this one to your collection.
