I must admit that I wanted to write this post just so I could use that title!! I have been slogging away at my Woodfords for weeks now. The “skirt” is 300+ sts and is just plain slow. The marker you see (the clip on at the hem) was Sally’s idea. She said place a marker when you start knitting and then you can see that you actually made progress. Love it. That small amount of added length took me all of my Thursday knitting group!! 🙁 One of my knitting peeps said, “I thought you’d be done with that by now!” I can’t repeat what I thought about her comment!!
I also thought I would share a project that I finished right before the state fair. It’s a cute little hat called Rose and Lily. When I first saw it, I thought it would benefit greatly from invisible stranding. The long carries across the momma elephant are problematic. I used stash fingering weight yarn to make an adult sized hat. Because of that I needed more length, so I added some decorative accents. I also used corrugated ribbing for more color, and attached a kumihimo flourish. I really love this hat!!
We are in full fall mode here. The temp dropped like a silk lace stitch.
I didn’t say it! Such a gorgeous sweater- the style, the textures are amazing and, of course, the knitting is so beautiful. I love that hat! I am determined to try your invisible stranding! I have 2 little granddaughters who would love such a hat!

Absolutely love your variation of the Rose & Lily hat. It is beautiful. The embellishments are perfect.
Laughed when I read “The temp dropped like a silk lace stitch.”

Love your description of how temperatures can drop this time of year. Of course no one but knitters can appreciate it. LOL

That sweater is absolutely gorgeous! Hang in there — you’ll be done before you know it. (And that hat? Just perfect.)

Love the sweater and the hat! Your work is exquisite. The best statement in your post was about the temperature dropping -I actually did lol with that one! (Your title also produced a chuckle.)

Gosh, that Woodford is perfect. The kind of cardigan you can just throw on at any time but might think twice when you consider the yarn and the time spent knitting it! And Rose and Lily has me drooling. (But it would take the rest of my lifetime to complete one!) Our temps are dropping as fast as yours quite yet. More like a hanging lace stitch made with mohair.
