Happy 4th of July to all of our readers. Let’s remember the reason we celebrate the 4th. We hope you enjoy this holiday with family and friends.
From Susan : As for me, I am celebrating independence from work. I am relaxing, knitting, doing errands and hanging out with peeps. I have a feeling that several WIPs will morph into FO’s all at once! I can’t be “knit-ogamous” so each is getting a little bit of knit time each day!
Look to the north. If you see a similar display of fireworks over my house you will know I finished the never-ending sundress. I’m well over 20,000 stitches and haven’t gotten to the bottom border yet.
Safe and happy 4th to you and yours.

That’s a way better version than the scan I linked! Thanks for that. I like to read it on the 4th. 🙂
Have a wonderful 4th! It’s pretty smoky here, but way way better than most of the state, so I can’t complain. And my house isn’t in danger :knockonwood: so I feel very very fortunate indeed!
xoxoxoxo!!!

Yep, we can smell smoke. I don’t think there’s any place you can go in California right now to get away from it! But it’s way way better than when the fires first started. We couldn’t even tell if it was sunny! We had to stay indoors. The smoke was nauseating. Thankfully they put that fire out entirely. Cross your fingers for our poor firefighters! There are still over 1,000 fires. 🙁

Wow! That’s an incredible photo. Did one of you take it? Where were you?
