I fear my knitting time is going to temporarily disappear. The reason is this little cutie who arrived in our home yesterday. His name is Loki. We chose that name as a bit of a nod to our beloved golden Thor who died about 5 years ago. Loki and Thor are brothers in Norse mythology. Loki is known as a trickster and so far I think the name may fit. (Click to see the cuteness in all its glory.) He’s 8 weeks old and is also a golden retriever.

If this were to become a knitting AND puppy blog, I wouldn’t mind, not one bit.

Squee! That face, that puppy nose! Best wishes for many happy & healthy years with him. Also, I’m up-voting the knitting & puppy blog idea.

I’m in love! What a little sweetheart. He will never replace Thor but he has the makings of a worthy successor <3

What a bundle of mischief and love! What a gorgeous puppy! We don’t mind seeing lots of photos of puppy and knitting! Take time now to train and establish his pack!

He is adorable – Goldens are the best dogs. Sure hope he doesn’t develop the affinity for yarn that our Labradoodle Daisy has. You would think she’s a cat!
