A dear peep from my Thursday knitting group has succumbed to a long battle with cancer. She kept up her spirits and her infectious smile through it all. She never focused on her illness or negativity. With the pandemic, we started weekly Zoom calls which she attended until the last few weeks. Our worst fears were realized — her journey ended two weeks ago today. This past year, Pam was knitting up a storm — many beautiful items to leave as a legacy to family and friends. Our group is so much smaller with her passing.

Thank you, Susan for this lovely tribute to our dear friend, Pam. On Zoom this past week (Oct. 31), Cindy from Michigan told us the story about how she and Pam met. It was first through their love of gardening at a gardening event in Robbinsdale. They were each in their 30s and sat in the back and giggles about how old everyone else looked! One time they got together and Pam was wearing a very heavy sweater. Cindy inquired about it and Pam said she had knit it! Well, that was when Cindy fell down the knitting rabbit hole! They had been close friends ever since! Cindy is now a beautiful knitter due to Pam! It’s good to share our stories together! Hope to see you and Kim next week-the elections will be over by then. Until then, Kathy
