These are two quick knits to enhance your holiday gifting.  I used both as gift card holders/ornaments. — both are free patterns!!

The first is called Santa Knit Gift Card Holder.  A very quick knit — add a hanging loop and it can also also work as an ornament.

The other is a mitten ornament designed by Jared Flood.  I blocked mine big enough to hold a gift card.

Just wanted to share!! 🙂

PS to Michele: The knitted chicken in my picture is a pattern designed by Susan B. Anderson called Three French Hens.  Very cute!  I made a matching one for Surly, the other Rainey Sister.

  2. Oh thank you! Love this idea. There is always red and white yarn hanging around this time of year, but the buckle may have to be “silver”:-).

  3. Oh, was referencing the original pattern with the gold buckle. But jingle bells are much more fun to shop for! Also thinking this would be great for those Christmas scratch-off cards, adjusting the pattern slightly.

  4. I made the little mittens. They look great as a package decoration and double as a tree ornament.

  6. Hello,
Would you tell me the source of the beautiful rooster pictured with the cute mitten? Is it your original pattern?
    Thanks,
