It’s been cold and raining in Colorado for almost a week. We’ve had minor flash flooding, mudslides, and hail. The perfect time to finish a summer tee!
This is the Boxy Lace Tee from Churchmouse Yarns and Teas. It’s a simple, relatively quick knit. The lace pattern is easy to memorize. I knit mine out of Woolfolk Strå, which is 50% merino and 50% linen. The mix of the two fibers gives the yarn a heathered, somewhat rustic look. It’s nice yarn.
My color is S2. It doesn’t know if it’s beige or pink and it probably veers more towards beige than I’d like. Still, it’s a wearable neutral. The pattern comes in a cropped or longer length. Cropped garments aren’t my friend so I lengthened mine.
I had a lot of trouble taking pictures because of the weather. Lucy almost blew away when I posed her outside. Scroll down to see what was in the meadow that day. Cuteness overload.
Triplet fawns! So adorable but what a handful (hoof-ful?) for mom.
Do you have a blog or a newsletter or both? I would love to get either or both. I have really enjoyed your posting on bloglovin’. I have tried to sign up but it never goes thru. Cropped isn’t my cupa’tea either so I would make this long. It is a beautiful “T”. But it needs sleeves and top/down. Thanks. Linda

The top is so pretty! HOWEVER, Mother Nature sure stole the show. What a beautiful photo of a Mom and the kids frolic.

Very pretty lace Tee! I agree, it certainly leans to beige. Those triplets are amazing to see with their mama.
I never thought deer would have triplets! Sorry about your weather. We have had lots of heat, a little rain but still lots of sun. We are not so patiently waiting for our daughter living in Boulder to come to MN for a visit! She hasn’t been home for several years! She has been having a terrible time with the CO DMV. She applied for a new license but has been waiting for about a month for it to arrive. All this waiting has shortened our time together! She calls and calls but no luck getting through. Tomorrow she is going to the Boulder DMV early to get a walk in appointment to find out what is going on! She’s been told that everything is messed up!
Hope weather improves for you and have a great Fourth weekend!

You have tempted me with that pattern. I have to finish my project for Loopy Ewe camp. Then maybe… The fawns stole the show! Sweetness overload.

Oy, weather! But, hopefully, soon you will be able to wear this sweater!! And those babies, so dang cute, as long as they don’t eat your flowers!

About those triplet fawns – they certainly are cute, but mom only has 2 spigots!! Is one of them noticeably smaller than the other two?

Love the top, and the yarn looks scrumptious, as with all Woolfolk yarns. As for the weather, we were in Fort Collins for 9 days and really enjoyed the rain, so needed in Utah where our reservoirs are slowly drying up.
Fawns? Cute when they’re young but they’re going to grow into landscape-munching machines.
